The Very Least You Can Do In Your Life is Hope

I like the writer, Barbara Kingsolver. She has some very thoughtful words and expresses them through her writings and books. Here are a few of my favorite quotes from her...

"The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance, but live right in it, under its roof."

"Don’t try to make life a mathematics problem with yourself in the center and everything coming out equal. When you’re good, bad things can still happen. And if you’re bad, you can still be lucky."

"Value is not made of money, but a tender balance of expectation and longing."

"Sadness is more or less like a head cold - with patience, it passes. Depression is like cancer."

"The average food item on a U.S. grocery shelf has traveled farther than most families go on their annual vacations." - Quote in the book, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
