We are living in tough times...

A friend recently said to me, "We are living in tough times, Margot. Get as much relaxation in as you can."

It's true and although I think people have stress in their lives no matter what, it's even more important that we take the time to relax when we can. Stress can be a huge obstacle in life, weight loss and health. Try some of these simple tips to help destress your body.

1. Breathe - Throughout the day try to remember to breathe deeply. Take long inhales through the nose and slowly inhale the breath out through your mouth. Try this 10 times in a row.

2. Turn Off Your Computers & TV's - Try turning off your electronics 2 hours before bed time to help your body and your mind relax before going to sleep.

3. Treat Your Body Right - Workout, eat healthy, hydrate and get regular massage if you can.

4. Ask Yourself if it's Worth it - Is what's stressing you really worth the worry? Our reaction to stress is half the battle.

5. Do One Nice thing for Someone Each Day - Spread the positive energy, smile and help others destress too!
