Here Comes the Weekend
Ahhh...there's nothing better than the beginning of the weekend. The relaxation process begins knowing work is over for the week and the chance to "unwind" is just a few hours away. Before you go let loose, consider the following:
1. Start with Protein
2. Stick to Lean Protein with Fresh Vegetables for Main Meals
3. Limit Your Alcohol Intake (Rotate Alcohol with Water to Help Prevent Dehydration)
4. Skip the Dessert ~ Go for Fresh Fruit Instead
5. DON'T Skip Your Weekend Workouts
Have fun, enjoy your weekend and be safe!

Rise Above This
I always feel empowered with I listen to Seether's song, Rise Above This. Is that weird? Well, weird or not, the line "I'm fallen down, but I'll rise above this, rise above this," translates to many people in many difficult situations. The song is referring to a relationship but I believe music is what we make of it. That being said, this song represents many people that I've met and certainly represents bits of myself.
I think there are so many courageous people out there who do rise above "this". Whether "this" be weight loss, heartache, work obstacles, etc, the way in which we go about dealing with "this" somehow represents a big part of what and who we are. Rising above this to me means using grace, strength and a form of controlled elegance in dealing with challenging situations.
